Klitzkie still not satisfied with Yona title

While the attorney general of Guam may have concurred with action taken by the Department of Land Management, former senator Robert Klitzkie says he is not satisfied. Klitzkie has raised concern over the past few months over an error with the certificate of title for the Redemptoris Mater Seminary in Yona.

“The attorney general’s memo was too little too late, it was wrong on the law, wrong on the facts, lacking in transparency,” said Klitzkie. “It raised more questions than it provided answers and it missed a golden opportunity to clear up what has been a very sloppily handled matter that began on October 30 of last year.”

This week DLM director Michael Borja asked AG Elizabeth Barrett Anderson for clarification on legal advice they received from an assistant AG in the Solicitors Division on how to resolve the error. The AG says she concurred with the administrative resolution DLM took.

Klitzkie believes the matter is still not resolved and still wants the documents requested through a Freedom of Information Act request he sent to DLM this week. The deadline for the FOIA is today.
