I am a staunch supporter of CCOG and will always be. Whenever I am able to, I am more than willing to stand publicly in support and in defense of authentic Catholic Faith and Teachings.

I cannot, however, bring myself to participate in this coming silent protest scheduled to happen at the same time that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is going on at the Cathedral. Though silent and prayerful, it is nevertheless a “protest ” which I feel is not an appropriate act to engage in while the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is going on in front of this protest!

We cannot compromise our reverence and regard for the Holy Eucharist and the Mass. Our major opposition to the ncw non-Catholic practices and specifically the irreverent postures and gestures they engage in the way they distribute and receive the Holy Eucharist may very well be thrown back at our faces and used to counter our oppositions. They may even suggest our being disingenuous with our opposition if we can schedule our protests while Mass and the Consecration of the Holy Eucharist is going on!

Please consider rescheduling the protest at a time when The Holy Mass is not being celebrated.

    Thank you,
    Marilu
